Hussain Khalid is a qualified architect, researcher and oral historian based in Karachi, Pakistan. His work is largely influenced by the context, people and events around him. A graduate in Architecture and Planning from NED-UET, Khalid is a humanist in architecture.
His work picks up inspiration from the context, people and day to day events that take place around me. A person cannot separate themselves from the setting that they are in, society nurtures us. Our beliefs, our aspirations, our dreams, our concerns are not our own but been given by the context and people we identify and empathize with. His work is a celebration of our roots, history and culture. It’s a call for concern and is largely based on his intuition and not proven facts.
